Most of what Jaimal Yogis is talking about in this video I don’t know from personal experience, yet the thought of Buddha when sitting outside waiting for a wave is never far away. Somehow a large body of water, the power surrounding you and the concentration on the movement of the surface and contemplating the mechanics behind it coupled with beautiful experiences of nature and getting to know yourself better in the process is what I would hope meditation could be like. I’m convinced it’s an incredible subject for a book and Yogis did write just that – the responses are very, very positive.
a quote from Jaimal Yogis webpage:
“As a city boy, I’ve never been on a surfboard and a day on the water means a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge . But reading Jaimal Yogis transformed me to a different — and dare I say higher — reality. I can feel the wind in my face, the sand between my toes and the surging sea beneath my feet. This book is a joy to read.” Ari L. Goldman, author of National Bestseller, The Search for God at Harvard
I used to think this way about good Surf-Music. But the openess of the recipient to the message, is as important as the artistic achievement to get this reaction, I’m afraid.
