Surf Film Maker Bruce Brown Dead at 80

So we lost John Severson and Bruce Brown in the same year …

I watched his films many times – maybe because I couldn’t be in the water nearly as much as I would have appreciated. His iconic The Endless Summer was my first exposure to both Brown’s work as well as to mid century surf films as a genre.
